Our
Story
Prosperity house was formed in 1987 by a group of men and women who saw unmet needs in their community and wanted to help. They believed that being a good neighbor meant that when you see someone struggling you step in and be part of the solution. To that end, Prosperity House was formed and we have been providing housing assistance to members of our community for over three decades.
During that time, we have witnessed dozens of families move from crisis situations to being able to afford the market cost of rent and housing in Northern Virginia.
What We Do.
We believe stable housing is the foundation for long‑term success. In order to help families achieve this goal we provide housing at a reduced cost to allow families to get back on their feet.
We provide a three-year housing program and work with our families to see what individual needs they have for long term success. Sometimes that can be training like financial coaching, other times a family simply needs more time to pursue further educational opportunities and a reduced housing cost allows them to achieve those goals.
We believe we're better together and that the best way to change a community is to be a part of the solution.
Prosperity House is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides housing assistance and related support services to residents of Prince William County, the City of Manassas, Manassas Park, and Fauquier county.
